Well we are ready for another exciting trip to Europe. This time we are going to Geneva Switzerland for a new experience: a seven day cyclo-sportive (also known as a Granfondo). There will be several hundred cyclists riding from Geneva Switzerland to Nice France (450 miles) over 7 days, starting on August 21 and ending August 28. This is through the heart of the French Alps, with some of the famous passes (cols) such as Col Galibier, and Col Izoard. check it out at www.hauteroute.org. We leave tomorrow at 7 pm central time and arrive in Geneva at 430 pm wednesday which includes a 7 hour time zone difference. We will post to this blog every day or two, except maybe the first couple days we wont be able to because we will be staying at Gornergratt Switzerland at about 9000 feet, looking up to the Matterhorn.
